Day 33 Sunday 27
Foncebadon to Molinaseca
20 km. 225 up and 1070m down
Arrived Molinaseca before 1:30
Yes Sally I agree the most challenging terrain so far!!
The up was gentle and went very well. The down was not gentle lots of loose a tilted rocks. We are so much stronger than in the beginning. I am very pleased with my lovely knees they were tired at the end but willing to go further.
We left our albergue before 7:00 and were able to see the sun rise we got to the Cruz de Ferros half an hour later just as the sun hit it. Jenny I carried the poppy from Christchurch on my pack, placed it on the cross and said a prayer for your health and happiness.
The views were excellent and I would need a better camera than mine to do them justice. A nice Australian man took my photo at the top.
I am happy in my walking up or down it does not matter each day we cheerfully do our work. Then get to the Albergue Santiago (11E ) do our chores rest and eat. It is a good life but only for a while. It is to refresh me for my real life.
Speaking of refreshments must go get some. It is 3:30 and if we had gone on to Ponferada we would probably have got very wet. Forecast for more rain for next 10 days and high of only 21 degrees. Not at all like last time.
