Glorious day for Jean’s last day.
We had a dreadful night. We shared four bunk room with a Spanish couple we had our own bathroom and Jean and I were on the top bunks. So far so good. The signor snored loudly and differently all night. I was getting so wound up that everything hurt so I took a tramadol and finally got to sleep just after 1:30. They were gone before we got up.
Met Lou and Tawna for coffee and croissant and were in our way before 8:00. We took the Camino route over the hills. The others followed the road. Ours was the more interesting and less tiring.
Met up with them and Sun as we hit the outskirts of Astorga. Walked in together and ended up in the same hotel. 62E. Not great value for money but suits to get a good nights sleep and a late check out for Jean in the morning.
The walk was lovely apart from the last half hour up into Astorga. We all plan to meet and eat together tonight to farewell Jean.
