Day 44Thursday 7th June
Boente to Salceda light rain for half the day and heavy rain the rest.
19.2 km. 16 high 10 low.
Well set off in the rain today and it rain for 95% of the walk. Galicia is very beautiful even in the rain. The walk was very good. I left Lou and Tawna in Arzua and went off to give some Euros to the nuns who gave Hugh and I chilled water on a very hot day last time. I thought it was outside their house but seems not they must have just put themselves on the path as an act of charity. The 30 Euros was the cash I took back to New Zealand last Camino.
Ah well I will have to find another recipient.
I am pleased to have some thinking time for the next couple of days. I am so lucky and have so much to be grateful for.
Dad is to have a full hip replacement on Saturday. So I will be pleased to be home the following week.
I am no longer waiting other news from NZ but will be able to tell you more tomorrow. Till then all my love R

Jenny McIlraith What a pretty area you are in. One day we will need to go to Spain - to the areas you haven't been to. Had a update read last night and was sorry to hear about your Dad. What a pain for him. Glad there is something the Drs can do for him and he will be pleased to have you home. Thinking of Chris and Pete as must be getting near time for the next Perkins to arrive. How exciting with so many people waiting for this child. Thank you also Raewyn for taking the poppy and your prayers. When I got the photo did not realize that it was at the top of the world!!Lots love darling. Take care. You are a VIP. Jmxx
