Nothing much to report today lying in our hotel on R and R. Washing is done and strung up all over. The hotel had a policy of laundry in before 10:00am and returned 5:30 the next day. I guess you have to stay three nights to get really clean.
The Cathedral Santa Maria of Burgos has to be one of the most beautiful buildings around. You are led over an ancient bridge and as you enter the portale the full view of the cathedral reveals itself. Well one side anyway.
The stone is lighter and the gothic images are not so present so the effect is one of welcome.
We poor pilgrims though had to stamp our own passports with not so much as a buen camino. Humbling it was. Perhaps we get too used to being ackowledged on the way.
Both my EU plug and lightning cable for my I phone failed in Before Logrono and I replaced it cheaply an I effectively twice. Well went to an Apple shop here in Burgos and paid 50E to finally solve the problem.
