0km toward Santiago de Compostella

A rest day and I have had a cold.

Last evening we met up with Corinna in town and she pointed out one of the few grocery stores open on a Sunday. She waited while we shopped and then we went for a pastry and coffee.
Back at the apartment we were able to eat what we wanted We had steak and vegetables in our apartment last night and today feeling a bit poorly so got up about eleven. Sorry I didn’t ring last night Hugh.

Went to look at the Cathedral at two this afternoon it was a very good tour. I think I like Burgos Cathedral from the outside best but León on the inside.

I have just been reading about the vaulted ceilings and the strength of the interlocking arches allowing the ceilings to be I filled with lighter rock. It all made sense when looking at the Cathedral from the inside.

Jean had a very successful gps reading and navigation to return safely to our apartment. Practising for going solo in Astorga and Santiago. She will be great. Just keep her out of dark toilets Ken. Jean cooked scrambled eggs bacon mushrooms and red peppers.

Our clothes are clean our feet are good we are ready for the next few days. The two nights here were very necessary. We look forward to the next few days.
