¡Hola! Day16 - sightseeing in Burgos and a 10k walk to the next village. Weather still changeable, cool, rain & sun. The Burgos cathedral was OTT - an overwhelming demonstration of power and not at all in synch with the simple, devout culture of the Camino (in my view) - and they charged 7€ to get in!! We stayed outside where we met an English Catholic priest - interesting that he agreed with my view of "buying your way into heaven". A cafe con leche then out of town - plod plod on concrete. We decided not to go far today as we have to husband our limited energy. We got lost a couple of times - the pic is of Sal practicing her Spanish with an old guy - asking for directions. Passed by a huge Cistercian monastery - but again just peered in from the outside - too much dinero to to go in. Then it was negotiating a whole lot of motorway spaghetti and eventually found La Fabrica Albergue, a beer and a shower and a bed. Hurrah! Hasta mañana.
