Hola! Day 19- walked 19k, 430k to go to Santiago. A quiet day through the Llano Alto - the high plain, long distances, big sky, and the sun came out finally!! Gem of The day - The Albergue En el Camino that we are staying at tonight - best communal meal (chick-pea soup, steak and lettuce salad, ice cream) with maybe 50 peregrinos, small room, noise off The Richter scale, huge amount of energy, it was like a good party except there were about 10 languages operating and eventually Happy Birthday (English) sung to some poor sod By The whole room!! The pic is of the peregrinos getting a bit of sun finally in the back yard of the albergue. This Village we are in survives on The Camino - only about 90 people live here but The hospitality is 2nd to none. We still think the Spanish people are great and that a higher standard of ethical behaviour is required in all our dealings with such decent people. Hasta mañana!

Raewyn I remember the climb to the high plain the spectacular views. One of my favourite days. You guys are rocking it. Keep strong and look after yourselves. The walk is more important than the destination. Or that is a point of argument debated often by peregrinos. Raewyn
Jeremy Matthews Hey you two! I've just read your blogs from Day-4 through to today...am exhausted!...feel like I've walked for miles and miles!...need a beer. What an experience guys...green with envy. Been flat-out long days here. Head down tail up. Several big deals going down and Fifeshire bubbling along. More info in email tomorrow. Lots on the home front too...again in another email. Missing you both, and SO impressed! LOving the pics too. :D
