CASINO NIGHT

We all went to the casino on saturday night for dorothys leaving do (sad tiems). Its in the middle of the reserve inbetween canmore and calgary so it took about an hour to get there. All day at work we were getting excited and talking about what we would wear. i was planning on going in jeans but everyone got dressed up so i did to. was the first girlie night i've had in ages!!! So there were 8 of us, dorothy (housekeeping supervisor whose leaving) suze (my boss) linda (fellow housekeeper) nadia (old housekeeper) flo (works in the bistro) erin (housing manager) and kerry-lee (the big boss of the Y) 6 of us trudged up to the banff springs hotel to catch the courtesy bus and the others got on at a different hotel. we were all quite hyper on da bus. i'd never been to a casino before so was a new experience!

When we got there it looked nothing like a casino more like an old factory but inside it was awesome!! u could hear all the slot machines from the lobby. so we had a buffet dinner first as soon as we walked into the restaurant we caught the attention of a stag party but we ignored them, they werent impressed! we got seated miles away from the buffet wasnt impressed lol. food was pretty good the dessert was the best bit though! u were supposed to use small plates u know enuf to fit maybe one slice of cake but oh no me doro and suze took the dinner plates up and filled them!! was sooooo yummy! so after dinner it was off to the casino. me and erin decided to liven things up and headed to the bar!! (dont worry though only had bout 4 coronas and 1 shot...i had work the next day) so played the slots first and after 10mins i was up 30 bucks then i lost 10 but was still up so i cashed out. was very exciting winning! but them we headed to the roulette table which i have never played before and its the best game ever. i put 20 bucks down which lasted me forever!!! i was up quite a bit as well but kept on playing. all the girls game and we pretty much took over the entire table. its a small casino so only had one roulette table. it got to 10:45 and we were suppsed to get the 11pm bus back to banff but most of us were having too much fun so linda nadia and flo went home and the rest of us stayed at the roulette table. after a while i got bored and went back to the slots bad idea cause they're so addictive!! was a bit annoying u werent allowed to take pics inside the casino which is y they're all a bit random lol. was ashame i wanted one by the roulette table but wasnt allowed...gurtted!

in the end no one won anything but at least i didnt loose as much as some of us! by about 12 though me erin and doro were getting tired and we'd lost all our money so we headed to the bar and chatted until half 2 when the next bus was. we had to wait for staff so didnt leave the casino till about 2:45 and got back to banff at half 3 i was exhausted and had to work at 9am on sunday morning. we were all dead the nxt day! was worth it though!!!
