After breakfast we called Hotellink to confirm our airport transfer for the next day then caught the tube from Queensway to St.Paul's to visit the cathederal. They were doing maintenance on the outside so it was covered in scaffholding and services were on inside so we had limited access. We had a look around the areas we were allowed to but no photography was allowed inside.
Started walking to the Monument, a monument for the Great Fire of 1666. After walking past it we finally found it. We walked down to London Bridge and took some photos of the Tower Bridge. We crossed the bridge and went looking for Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. We stopped at Starbucks for a coffee on the way and then went to the Clink Prison Museum which was not worth the entrance fee. Finally arrived at the Globe Theatre, the views were not great but we managed to get a few photos before crossing the Millenium Bridge and catching the tube from St.Paul's back to Lancaster Gate.
We rested for a while at the hotel then went down to Queensway to check our email for the last time. After lunch we walked down to the Whiteley Shopping Centre for a look around then caught the tube from Queensway to the Oval station to see The Oval cricket ground. The ground was locked up so we took some pictures from the outside and then caught a London double-decker bus around to Hyde Park. We walked down to Marble Arch station and caught the tube back to Lancaster Gate. We then walked down through Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens to Kensington Palace. Wandered around the buildings of Kensington Palace before returning to the hotel for a drink and to watch Arsenal vs Tottenham on TV.
Went to dinner at 6.15pm and ate at the Chinese Restaurant in Queensway. We went back to Starbucks for a take-away coffee and went back to the hotel to drink the coffee and pack for the departure the next morning.
