We arrived at Southend Victoria station from London at 11:15am and caught the bus down to the central bus station. We had lunch in High Street before walking down the end of the street for views of Southend Pier. We then walked back to the bus station and caught the bus to Roots Hall to see the game between Southend United and Yeovil Town.

We picked up our tickets from reception and gave some presents to the people who helped organise this visit and the visit on our last trip to thank them for their help. We then headed to the Club Shop to buy some Southend United merchandise before heading to the Shrimpers Bar for a pre-game drink and to meet a few people from the Southend United email list.

We dropped our bags off at reception and at 2:50pm moved into the ground for the game which started at 3pm. We had seats in the East Stand which were quite good. Southend lost 2-0 which was disappointing but we enjoyed the experience.

We picked up our bags from reception, then walked back to Southend Victoria station and caught the 5:30pm train back to London.
