After an early breakfast we finished packing and went down to reception to check out. We were picked up by Hotellink at 7.30am and taken to Heathrow, arriving at 8.30am. We checked in straight away and then wandered around the duty free shops for a while before having a coffee at Starbucks. We then went to our gate and eventually boarded after some delays, the plane left 30 minutes late. We were on our way back to Melbourne and our trip was over.

After breakfast we called Hotellink to confirm our airport transfer for the next day then caught the tube from Queensway to St.Paul's to visit the cathederal. They were doing maintenance on the outside so it was covered in scaffholding and services were on inside so we had limited access. We arrived back in London from Cambridge at 4.30pm and caught the tube down to Knightsbridge and went to Harrods for a look around. Had a coffee and donut in the Harrods Food Hall and then caught the tube back to Lancaster Gate. Set out for dinner at 6.30pm and ate at the Black Lion pub near Queensway. After circling Heathrow for 15-20 minutes we landed in London at 11:40am after our flight from Amsterdam. We passed through customs, collected our luggage and then caught our Hotellink shuttle to our hotel. After a long and winding trip through London as we dropped off other passengers we arrived at the hotel, Thistle Lancaster Gate. Got going at 8:30am, walked through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park to Knightsbridge to visit Harrods....it was closed! Caught the tube back to Lancaster Gate then relaxed at hotel until 11:30am.
