Caught tube from Lancaster Gate to Notting Hill Gate Station then switched lines and caught the tube to Southfields station. Walked approximately 1 mile to visit Wimbledon and the famous tennis courts. Paid our £5.50 entrance fee which entitled us to a look throught he tennis museum and a look at centre court through a windowed area at the back of the museum.
Walked back to Southfields station and caught the tube further on to Wimbledon station where we caught a National Rail train to Hampton Court station. Walked across bridge over river Thames to Hampton Court Palace. Toured through the palace and gardens including a walk through the maze. Extremely interesting place with amazingly decorated old rooms, but unfortunately no photography or video allowed inside. Spent a few hours here, could easily spend a day looking around as there is so much to see.
Walked back to train station and caught train back to Wimbledon, then on to Lancaster Gate via the tube.
Had dinner at 6:30pm at Raffles Cafe in Craven Road, Paddington.
