We arrived at Southend Victoria station from London at 11:15am and caught the bus down to the central bus station. We had lunch in High Street before walking down the end of the street for views of Southend Pier. Caught tube from Lancaster Gate station to Liverpool Street station at 9am then caught Great Eastern train service to Southend Victoria station (1 hour, £9.50 each).
