Arrived in Chester from Manchester and parked in a car park just outside the city walls. Walked down into the centre of the town to see Chester Cathedral. Had a quick look inside then had a coffee in a nearby cafe.

Walked through the city and along the narrow streets of The Rows to Chester Castle. The castle, or whats left of it was a little disappointing and not really worth the walk to the other side of the town to see.

We attempted to walk around the city walls back to the other side of the town but it was blocked off shortly after the castle.

We walked back through the town and walked a short distance along the walls near where we entered the town. Bought some lunch from a bakery and then back to the car and on our way to Shrewsbury.
