Checked out of Shrewsbury B&B at 9am and drove on the A5 towards Chirk Castle. Arrived at castle to find it didn't open until 12 noon! Took some pictures and some video then drove on to Llangollen.

Visited Plas Newydd once occupied by the Ladies of Llangollen. Took a picture of the black and white house and then moved on.

Stopped for a coffee at the beautiful town of Betws-y-Coed. Took a picture of the nearby park and then continued on ourjourney..there was a lot to see today!

Drove on in the direction of Holyhead, crossing onto Anglesey Island and then driving back onto the
mainland and on towards Caernarfon to visit Caernarfon Castle. Wandered around the castle for a while and admired the views from the tops of the towers. Had lunch at McDonalds and then drove on again this time over a private, single-laned bridge to Harlech to see Harlech Castle. Wandered around for a while and again admired the views of the bay and Snowdonia mountains.

Drove on to Aberystwyth along narrow winding roads that seemed to make the trip take for ever! Arrived at our B&B, The Helmsman, at 5.30pm. Too late to take a trip to the top of the cliffs on the railway. Had dinner at Kings, down the road from the B&B and then got a couple of beers to drink while we sat in the window of our 4th floor room and took in the views of the ocean.
