Up at 6am, no time for breakfast and we went straight to Heathrow to drop off our hire care. Arrived at Alamo to drop off car to find someone had kicked in the back of our car over night while it was parked in the hotel car park. Lost our £500 deposit (thankfully we were insured and got it all back on our return to Australia) but it really was a hassle we didn't need.

Caught shuttle bus to Terminal 1 after filling out all the paperwork for the damage to the car. Had a quick coffee and then converted our Pounds into Euros. Checked our bags in and waited to board our plane. Flight was delayed after we had boarded as someone failed to board so they had to get their luggage off, then an engine problem delayed even more!

Finally took off an hour late and were on our way to Dublin!
