Happiness Is The Road
After brekky we left Freo and headed for the city. We decided to go up to Kings Park and take in the view again. The weather was mixed and we drove through a few showers on the drive out of Freo and onto the Kwinana Freeway. Closer to the city centre the freeway goes very close to the Swan River. With it still being fairly windy the river was extremely choppy sending waves to splash and spray over the low wall along the bank. We were soon at the park and took in the view of this magnificent city. It is a view that I never tire of seeing. We got caught out though by a huge shower and had to go dashing back to the camper van. From here we decided to go and try a caravan park in the suburb of Ascot which is fairly close to the city centre. When we got there we discovered that they were full. It was obviously not meant to be and we didn't like the look of it much anyhow. We then decided that it was a case of 'better the devil you know' and headed back to the Karrinyup Waters Resort where we had stopped for so long when we were last in Perth. It was a lot quieter here and we got the same spot as when we were last here. It was like coming home and it felt really good to be back. We were visited later on by the ducks but unfortunately the big white cheeky duck who popped by to see us last time was nowhere to be seen.
