Happiness Is The Road
We didn't get much sleep with all the noise from the wind and the rain. It had been a very blustery night but I don't think that the wind speed near us had got anywhere near the 125 kilometres per hour forecast. According to the local news though there had been a record 146 kph wind gust at the Cape Leeuwin lighthouse near Augusta! That's where the Southern Ocean meets the Indian Ocean and one of the wildest places we have been even without storm force winds! By the time we'd had brekky the wind had died down and it turned into a really lovely blue sky day. We had a drive out to the suburb of Booragoon to visit a shop called Precious Organics. We went there to get stuff that is free of chemicals and toxins and got all sorts of wonderful toxic free things. It is incredible how difficult it is to buy food and toiletries that are healthy and free from chemicals, toxins and carcinogens (Sugar, vegetable oils, artificial sweeteners, GM, aluminium, preservatives, and fluoride to name a few). It shouldn't be this way. Whilst in the shop we noticed that they had raw cow's milk for sale. It was called Raw Beauty Bath Milk and on the label it stated that it was sold for cosmetic skin treatment only. The label also stated that it was not for human consumption. It obviously was and this must have been a way to get around the law. I subsequently discovered that it is illegal to sell raw cow's milk for human consumption in Australia. How ridiculous! After this we did some more food shopping and then returned to the caravan park to chill out for the rest of the day. By nightfall the wind had picked up again but it was nowhere near as ferocious as last night. We both bathed in raw milk and then went to bed!
