Happiness Is The Road
We awoke from our penultimate night in our gorgeous camper to beautiful weather. Perfect weather for more cleaning! After brekky Jay did the laundry and I cleaned the stove, the fridge, all our little cupboards and started packing all our stuff. After this was done we headed out to Woolworths at Karrinyup to get some food. Even though we knew the way there by now we decided to let our wonderful GPS, Les, do the navigating. As you will know from previous blogs Les's predecessors, his cousins Bruce and Mick both let us down after getting a taste for the 'pop'! Bruce died on us and Mick got the hot flushes and had to go to hospital. Les though has been absolutely brilliant always being cheerful and polite without the need to indulge in any excessive drinking. His directions have been spot on and we are thoroughly going to miss him. It was horrible to think that tonight was going to be our last night in the camper van. I have slept in her for nearly a year and Jay has had nearly nine months of sleeps in her. It's going to be very sad to leave our cosy camper bed behind. We are very fond of her. To celebrate all the camping adventures we've had we enjoyed some wine with our meal tonight whilst reminiscing and laughing about all the highlights of our trip. There have been so very many. Tomorrow we move into an apartment in Perth for a few days. The thought of all that space excites us but also fills us with some dread. It's going to be weird sleeping in an actual building!
