Happiness Is The Road
We decided to have a day out today. Whilst having brekky the gorgeous big cheeky white duck quacked it's way over to us. He was really funny and was so impatient to get a bit of bread we had to stop him from jumping up into the camper van! He waggled his tail feathers at us, he quacked away and he caught the bread that we threw in his mouth. He was a very clever duck and he just knew that he was gorgeous. After brekky we caught the bus and train combo into the city. We had a walk through the city centre, across the freeway and up the hill to Kings Park.It was a lovely clear day and the view down to the city was superb. We had a good walk around the park, had our butties and then headed back to the city centre. We are going to come back up to the park just before we leave Perth to take in the view again at sunset. We then decided to go to the beach and so we caught the bus from Wellington Street to Scarborough. It was only about 17 degrees and there was quite a wind chill but there were still a few people laid out on towels sunbathing and going in the sea. We had a nice long walk along the beach. The lovely white sand is very fine and soft at Scarborough and stretches far away into the distance in each direction. We saw a sign stating that Chicken Treat are the proud supporters of the Scarboro Surf Life Saving Club. We thought it quite ironic that a fast food company selling food with ingredients that probably slowly kill you are supporting a club that saves lives! It's a strange world. After our mooch at the beach we caught two buses back to the caravan park. We had another lovely quiet night in 213.
