Happiness Is The Road
We awoke after a big sleep feeling refreshed and far less spaced out. It seemed that we were getting the hang of living in a building again! We chilled out until just before midday and then walked into the city to meet Di for lunch. We met her at the WA Museum in the Perth Cultural Centre and then went to find somewhere to eat. It was brilliant to see Di again and to introduce her to Jay. She was very kind to take me out for the day when I was in Perth on my own last October. Time flies, it doesn't feel like nearly a year ago. We ate in a really lovely little restaurant called Bivouac which had a gorgeously yummy menu. They use local, free range and organic produce wherever possible and when I asked they could tell us whether any of their dishes contained refined sugar. It's amazing how many restaurants can't tell you what's in their food. Only one dish contained sugar so we had a lot of lovely dishes to choose from. We had a really lovely chat with Di before she had to go back to work. We never forget how lucky we are to still be on holiday and not have to concern ourselves with going to work. We are just loving being free from the rat race. The weather was gorgeous today so after lunch we went for a long walk around the city centre before heading back to the apartment.
