Happiness Is The Road
We awoke to a gorgeous sunny day. After brekky we went into the city as we had some shopping to do, some very exciting shopping! We caught the bus to Stirling Station and then got the train into the city. We got off the train at Leederville Station today which was just outside the city centre. With our map of the area we soon found our first shop of the day, Headphonic, which wasn't far from Leederville Station. We came here as Jay was getting a new pair of headphones. The headphones she already had weren't brilliant and the sound quality of my AKG headphones has wowed her. It was agreed that we were currently not listening to music on a level playing field and something had to be done about this. We had found an online headphone store that had a shop front in Perth where we could go and demo a few headphones and that is where we found ourselves a few minutes later. The guy in the shop was extremely helpful and friendly and we listened to our music on a few different headphones settling in the end on some AKG's that sounded even better than mine! We had loads of fun in this shop and were there well over an hour. We eventually emerged into the sunlight very happy with our purchase. We then wandered through Leederville and into the suburb of Subiaco to the next shop on our list, the Bose Store. Our trusty portable Jambox speaker had broken and we needed a new one. I had read reviews online that the Bose Soundlink Mini was incredible so we went to have a listen. They friendly guy at Bose let us play our own music through it and the sound quality blew us away. The clarity and bass produced by such a small box was awesome and much better than our old Jambox which until it's demise had been pretty damn good. We emerged into the sunlight again very happy with our purchase. We then wandered through Subiaco which is a lovely cosmopolitan place full of trendy cafes and bars back to Leederville from where we got one of the free CAT buses to the city centre. The weather was lovely and warm. Our next shop was Strandbags where we bought Jay a new case to transport all of her stuff to New Zealand and back to the UK. Following this we went to Woolworths to buy some food and then we caught the train and bus combo back to the caravan park. We had a very enjoyable evening opening our new goodies and listening to music.
