From Cervantes we drove up to Jurien Bay for a look before making our way back to Perth, stopping in Gin Gin for lunch.
We spent a few nights at a caravan park about 10 minutes south of Fremantle before heading back to the caravan park we were in last week which is north of Perth.
The plan was to hang about Perth until Christmas. I even met with a couple of accounting agencies over here hoping to get a short term role to take me through till then. The plan has now changed. We have now decided to move onto Albany and Esperance before heading along the Nullabor and into Adelaide. From Adelaide we will fly back to Perth to meet up with my sister Kris and her husband Shane whom we are holidaying with for two weeks in Dunsborough. It will then be back to Adelaide with David's family before making our way home.
After making this decision, Friday soon soured when I tripped over a power cord and hurt my right arm. The pain was bad but I did not think it was broken so decided not to head to the hospital. Saturday I woke up in a fair bit of pain so we got the arm checked out at a hospital. After a few x-rays it was determined that I did have a slight break in my radius up near the elbow. The doc said this was a good break as it did not require plaster, just a sling and some pain killers. I should be fine in 2 to 4 weeks. David's not fine as it means he has to cook, wash and dry dishes, clean clothes, set up and pack up. I think the doc said 12 weeks till I would be ok!
Our niece Jessinta has been selected to ice skate in Andre Rieu's Australian shows. She was in Perth this weekend so it was great to catch up with her for lunch in Fremantle where we had fish and chips. Jessinta moves onto Sydney on Monday.
After dropping Jessinta off at her hotel we stopped in at my cousin Linda's to let her know we were moving on and to thank her and her family for their hospitality at various stages over the past three months.
The weather has been crappy the past couple of days - wet and cool. We will check the weather on the south coast before making a move.
