We hit the road by 7am. The wind was in Sean's favour on day 2 as it was on day 1. Sean had a few comfort stops along the way and was taking in plenty of food and drink. We either drove behind or went on ahead. David took heaps of photos and I was doing "Tour de France" type cheering on the side of the road.
Sean made great time to his destination of Southern Cross. Again they booked into the hotel for the night, so we set up at a roadside rest area about 1km out of town. During the afternoon David went with Sean, Mum and Annabelle to do their blog, whilst I hung about the hotel and watched the start of the footy with Bevo, a sad Collingwood supporter.
Whilst at the roadhouse blogging, the owner who was aware of Sean's ride and even had a collection tin on the counter (Graham Wilson, a family friend has organised these at a few roadhouses along the way), offered that lot free coffee and some fresh soup. So by the time they returned to the hotel none were hungry, so I ended up having another pub meal, which David found room enough to share with me.
That lot all went to bed early in preparation for an early start, so we headed to our rest area and slept the cold night away.
