We spent two nights in Dales Campground in Karijini National Park where it was walking distance to Fern Pool, a lovely swimming spot in Dales Gorge. We also walked along the top of this gorge to some lookouts and then climbed down into the Gorge to Circular pool and then back along the bottom to Fortescue Falls. All was very picturesque.
We moved on from Dales Gorge, which was a run by rangers and volunteers, to the Eco Retreat which was privately run.
On the way to the Eco Retreat we stopped at Joffre and Knox Gorges for a quick look from the lookouts. After setting up camp and having lunch, we then headed into the Weano area. Whilst here were went to the lookout where four gorges meet and then walked down into Weano Gorge, going as far as we could before it turned into level 6 and you needed your abseiling gear.
The following day we went back to Weano Gorge this time heading into Hancock Gorge going as far as Kermit Pool. After lunch back at the camper, we went back to Joffre Gorge where we walked right down to the bottom where we were able to swim.
The landscape of Karijini was amazing. Make sure you check out our photos.
