We started to head back to the north. We were looking forward to getting back to the warmer weather.

We stopped in Menzies for lunch and a beer in Leonora. It was getting late in the day so we looked for a spot to camp for the night and were directed to Malcolm Dam, about 13km east of Leonora, by our Camps4 book.

The spot was quite nice even though there was very little water in the dam and the water trucks were sucking it dry. There were emus, roos and pelicans hanging about.

It was pretty windy however, so we spent some time sitting in the car reading before we cooked dinner and went to bed.
