We didn't take the coastal, and quicker, route to Cervantes as we were advised against it given a lot of soft sand.
We had a quick look around Cervantes and ate our lunch before heading into Nambung National Park and the Pinnacles. The Pinnacles were quite a sight to see. We drove around a 4km loop, hopping out at times to get a better look. The stones were all shapes and sizes. We checked out the information centre before moving on.
The flies have been abundant lately, so when we arrived at the free campground at Tuart Reserve, 12km east of Cervantes, we headed straight indoors to get away from them. We read for a bit and then I sent David out to cook. We watched some of the "Long Way Down" DVD last night before going to bed.
We ate breakfast quickly so we could get on our way before the flies came out.
