On our way to Lancellin we stopped in Two Rocks and sat by the marina and had our lunch. We then went for a look at Yanchep National Park. This was a lovely spot and with the benefit of hindsight would have been a nicer lunch spot. We did walk around part of the lake and had a look at their koala sanctuary. The koalas that we could see were all sleeping.
We set up at the caravan park in Lancellin. To be honest this is pretty much all I saw of the town. I did walk up to the shops and tavern a couple of times but I did not venture out onto the beach as it was so windy. I spent a lot of time reading and watching DVDs.
Whilst I was doing very little, David went out on his motorbike to the sand dune area. He had the area pretty much to himself the first couple of days but once Saturday hit the dunes were packed and the food available at the bakery was abundant.
We walked to the Endeavour Tavern Friday night to watch the 20/20 match between Australia and the All-Stars. We ended up back at the tavern Saturday afternoon for a few hours to listen to a couple of singers they had on. The venue was great as there was a big tree in the beer garden, which the acts set up under and the beach and ocean were behind them. It was still windy but it didn't effect the singers much. A lovely way to wile away an afternoon.
We packed up Sunday morning after David had an early ride, and headed to Cervantes and the Pinnacles.
