Today we left chitwan after a breakfast of fried eggs, toast, coffee, and potatoes, and had a 7 hour bus journey back to Kathmandu, getting stuck in several traffic jams on the way!!
We finally arrived in the dirty and smelly city, and got a taxi to the same place we stayed in last time in ktm - Marco Polo Guest House. The guy at first have us the cheapest room at 1200rps, and we said that was too expensive, and he finally got it down to 800rps a night - a much better room than the first one!! And the bed is a bit comfier too!!
We went straight out, and visited a tailors where he could fix my bag (got a hole in since my trip to Malawi in summer 2012!!), and put lining/underskirt in my pretty white peacock skirt. We then wanders around and bought a few things here and there, the dumped it back at the hotel, before going back out again to pick up my bag I left at the Sacred Valley Inn before we left to Pokhara. We then went to the Meet and Greet cafe where I had dal bhat before Liam got here, and we both had dal bhat. Somehow tastier than I remember from this place. The people recognised me which was a bit wierd!! Maybe they don't get too many customers...
We dumped the big bag back in the hotel room, then went out to Isis where we intended to stay for longer than we actually did. My mojito had cut up mint leaves in, which I kept swallowing or getting stuck in my mouth/throat, and Liam started to get a headache (he now has a migraine poor guy...).
I can't decide whether to get a tattoo or not. I've found the best design ever - an elephant made out of swirls and curls (looks better than I described!!) - and I would probably get it on my ankle. Can't decide whether to get it inside my ankle, or on the outside. Or to even get one at all!!
