We woke up surprisingly early today, seeing as Liam was still jetlag... He managed to get to sleep finally at 3 or 4am!! We had a small lie-in, then went for a late breakfast/early lunch at Gaia, where I had a chicken satay with rice, and Liam had chicken stirfry with rice, both of us having a coffee!! Michael was there chatting to 2 ex-DNC boys, so we had a small chat with them.
After lunch, we went for a wander, and I bought some more mango juice!! Can never have enough of it!!
We then decided to go to the "Garden of Dreams" - a beautiful walled garden that's so quiet and it feels like you've escaped completely from Kathmandu, but you're actually right in the centre!! It has a small cafe where we stopped to have a coke, and it has cushions on the grass for people to sit or lie down on. We stayed there for at least an hour, then we wandered over to Lazimpat, where I showed Liam the Folk Nepal shop. We then went back to the hotel for a bit, and decided where to eat. We went out about 6, to the Mexican restaurant/bar I went to last week at some point. We both had fajitas, and a free cocktail with our meal - mojito for Liam, and a DELICIOUS mango daiquiri for me :) we sat and talked for a while, then wandered over to the H2O bar, where we were informed the bar had to close at 9, and they could only serve us a few drinks, all due to the elections tomorrow. So we had a quick drink and shisha, then walked back to the hotel. Most of the places had already shut, all probably due to elections...
My back is really painful today, so Liam (being the star that he is!!) has given me a back massage :) which I am VERY grateful for!!
