Today started with another lazy morning... Woke up eventually at 10ish, but climber out of bed at 11.30ish, got dressed and went to Gaia for breakfast. I felt I needed a proper breakfast!! I met Michael and Pam there which was nice, and we had a little catch up. For breakfast, I had a latte (much needed coffee) and an "American breakfast" - sausages, fried eggs, brown toast with butter and jam, and potatoes fried with green peppers and onions. Best potatoes I've ever tasted!! Michael and Pam left just before 1, so I was left by myself, until 1.30, at which point I decided to find somewhere to get my hair dyed. I get my hair dyed a lot these days, or I due it myself. Usually it's because I'm bored of my hair colour, or want a change to my body, so I go for my hair. I love how easy it is to change the colour, and I love how easy it is to cut it. Although I've now realised how horrific I look with short hair, so I've stopped doing that so frequently!!
I eventually found a place called "tranquility spa" who do hair colour for the equivalent of £9 - a tenth of the price of English places!! I managed to get a small discount, as I promised them I'd go back tomorrow for a back massage. For 3/4 a year I've had bad back problems, and before coming to Nepal I promised myself id treat me to a professional back massage. Liam, not that yours aren't good, they're amazing!! Just I currently haven't had a back massage for over a month, and I'm due one!!
So after 5 or 10 minutes, I finally chose a hair colour. I was undecided between going back to bright red, or something near to my natural hair colour - dark brown. In the end I chose a dark brown and I'm quite glad!! It looks nice :) the lady in the place complimented me on my choice, after she told me not to go for that one ha!!
On my way back to the hotel, I stopped off for momos and a banana lassi at my favourite place, promised the henna girl i'd find her tomorrow to get some henna, and bought a few presents for people (Christmas and birthday... Thamel is a good place for that!!)
I stayed in the hotel all evening, apart from a quick dash to the corner shop to get some candles, and had a lovely hot shower, and had a very long FaceTime with the person I think is even more gorgeous and handsome than Leonardo DiCaprio. And that's saying something!!
