Last night I had a beautiful 14 hours sleep!! Went to bed at 8, then woke up at 10!! I have jetlag though - I can't quite seem to concentrate on much properly!! First think I did this morning was have a shower. The most amazing shower ever. I then had a breakfast of cornflakes and a banana (a delicious Nepali sweet banana!!) then went and checked my emails again.
I then went upstairs to my room and started a book called "don't tell mum" - given to me by my dear friend Daisy, it's got extracts from emails sent by gap year travellers home. Very funny!! I've gotten half way through it already!!
In between reading this book, I tried to contact Jet Airways office... I need to change my flight to the 1st of December instead of coming home 30th November, as Liam is going home 1st December due to lack of seats of my flight... The office was on lunch break, and when I did get through to them (after some lunch of bread with Nepali peanut butter - YUM!! And Nepali cheese (also yum!!) they told me their system was down so I couldn't change my flight... So I'm going to their office tomorrow and talking to them. That is, if I ever find their office!!
I then went back to reading my book. Liz came home from visiting a neighbour at about 3, and we went to a cafe called "jar of clay" which is a very cute place, with AMAZING mango smoothie!! We met Miri and Josh there, and played a game called "mastermind" which I turned out to be not very good at!! On our way back (cycling) we stopped off at a choke (junction type thing for all you non Nepalese speakers) and I bought a SIM card!! Over here they're very particular with handing SIM cards out... In England you just choose a network and pay 99p. But here, you have to show your passport, visa, have photocopies of them both, and fill out a long form. Wierd. But I got one!! It costs 5 rupees to send an international text (which is less than 1p I think!!) and 15rps a minute for international calls. So I'll be fine!!
After buying that, some yoghurt and a bunch of bananas, we went back home and on our way I saw the most beautiful rainbow ever!! I forgot how amazing they are here!! We then relaxed for a bit - me and Miri watched Dr Who's "The Crimson Horror" which I love!! If there's one box set I'd love to own, it's Dr Who. We then had supper which was pasta and bolognese sauce with Nepali cheese on top :) and for pudding we had the yoghurt we bought today (which was soooo yummy!!) And one piece of cadburys chocolate each.
After supper, me, Miri and Liz sat down and played "snap jack" which is essentially snap but with lots more rules and is quite confusing at first!! I came second though yay!! After that, it was bedtime, one of the best parts of a day!!
