On packing up at the Maitland River we hit the bitumen and headed for Carnarvon. We had planned to stay just outside of town by the beach but we could not find the right turn off so we ended up at a caravan park about 4kms out of town. This wasn't so bad though as we'd be able to have a nice hot shower. Unfortunately, the hot water wasn't working so we just ended up a bit colder than we were prior to jumping in.

The benefit of being in the caravan park also meant we were able to go onto the internet and get up to date with our emails and David's adventure rider blog!
