Checked out of our Aberystwyth B&B at 9am and began our drive around the coast towards Cardiff. We passed through Cardigan and Fishguard stopping in St.Davids where we had a look around the Bishops Palace ruins. Checked out of Shrewsbury B&B at 9am and drove on the A5 towards Chirk Castle. Arrived at castle to find it didn't open until 12 noon! Took some pictures and some video then drove on to Llangollen. Arrived in Chester from Manchester and parked in a car park just outside the city walls. Walked down into the centre of the town to see Chester Cathedral. Had a quick look inside then had a coffee in a nearby cafe. Walked through the city and along the narrow streets of The Rows to Chester Castle. The castle, or whats left of it was a little disappointing and not really worth the walk to the other side of the town to see. We attempted to walk around the city wall...

Checked out of our Manchester hotel at 9am and drove to Chester (see previous entry!) via M56. Drove on to Shrewsbury arriving at our B&B, Fieldside, at 1.30pm. Unpacked and then got in the car and drove out to Wroxeter Roman City. Walked through the impressive ruins with our audioguide. Up at 7.30am and walked down to the Arndale Centre for breakfastas it was not included in our hotel price. Walked down to Market Street Metro stop and caught 9.30am train to Old Trafford station. Walked 5 minutes past Lancashire Cricket Ground which was a mess after the Oasis Concert the night before to Old Trafford. We paid for our tour (£8.50 each) and started our tour at 10.20am.
