After breakfast we went for a walk in search of the internet cafe listed in Lonely Planet only to find it was no longer there. Walked back to visit the Transport Museum near the hotel but it did not open until 11am. Decided to walk over the road to the Museum and Art Gallery which had some interesting things including animal displays and armour displays.
We walked back to the Transport Museum at 11am which had displays of old cars, bikes, trains and trams as you'd probably expect. It was OK, but not what we were into really!
Caught the bus into the city centre and went to the tourist office for a bus map and to find the internet cafe. Internet cafe was around the corner but closed due to technical problems! Walked back to St.George's Square for lunch with the pigeons.
Walked down to an area called the Merchant City which was really no different to the rest of the city then on to Glasgow's market, The Barras, a seedy looking place which we left as soon as we took a picture.
Walked back to internet cafe which was now open and read and sent some emails before returning to our hotel by bus for a rest.
Went to dinner at 6pm, eating at The Mayflower Chinese restaurant in Sauchiehall Street. Service, prices and food were excellent and we were bursting at the seams after eating our meals! Managed to squeeze in a coffee from Starbucks on the way back to the hotel.
