1pm Saturday June 2nd we finally crossed the finish line at the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela!
It has taken us 36 days to complete the 500 miles which includes two days off & we have walked every single step. The hardest task was having to carry our 8kg backpacks all way across this most fantastic country.
But we have done it and it feels amazing.
The picture is not the most flattering as it rained for most of the day but that was how we arrived at the end of our Camino.
Sally was overcome with emotion
and put her sun glasses on to hide her tears and she would like to point out that she is not auditioning for the hunch back of Notre Dame. It's our ponchos covering the backpacks.
The hotel is stunning and will update with more later and hopefully with some sunny pictures as the city is stunning.
