Today was again sunny so we took the bikes to the river and cycled along the tow path for a few miles. It was great but both our bums were aching so came back to hotel and had rest of our bought salad. This afternoon we took bikes to wall and sunbathed for a couple of hours - absolute bliss

Today got the free bikes and went around the city walls. This was such good fun and gives you a great view if all the main sites. We bought a salad and meats to have a picnic which was good. We also cycled through the town to the amphitheater, Tower, Cathedral all were lovely. Evening meal was back at restaurant we went to 3 weeks ago which was good again but we were both stuffed and should of just had 1 course. This place does have the best bread we have ever ...

So hotel in Lucca is in a great location as you can see from s*** of Sally outside our front door. The canals take the overflow from fast river which add to charm of the town. It is now one our all time favourites. Hotel upgraded us to suite which is a real luxury and they also provide free tea coffee and Prosecco in the bar

Had good meal last night but had to wait in morning to pay a owner not there. Walk started through hazel groves then an amazing path through high sided valley following a stream. Unfortunately Sally had blister so could not enjoy it to full but we still had a good walk. Sutri is lovely small town with lively square and amazing Amphitheater 2300 years old. Last night we ate at our hostesses choice which worked well and we had roast chicken again. Left at 9 and the weather was good but walk was boring. En route realised that we were not staying in Vetralla but 3 km outside it. As it happened by luck it was a good move as the town was dull and we are staying at a good restaurant with rooms. Enjoying a beer in the sun at 5.30 in a lively bar central. Last leg tomorrow to Sutri which we hope will be fun and 23 degs ...
