Left 0800 in cool cloudy conditions having booked an old Palacio hotel in medieval village of Viana 20km away.
Fairly uneventful day as having got into a routine - we just walk for 1-2 hours stop for 15mins stretch off a little, eat some fruit or baguette and then move on. Weather was mostly overcast so not too hot we made good time getting to Viana for lunch.
Interesting town famous as an ancient pilgrim place and where infamous Cesare Borgia was buried in 1507.
Lovely hotel who arranged for a massage for Sal which was a proper job . The masseuse was called Veronica and was great character who used to go out with the British chess champion and loves the English. Sal now fully revived up for a mega walk tomorrow and no additional blister surgery currently required. Now watching FA cup final in the bar with a crowd of Spaniards.
