Left the grotty hotel after a stressful buffet breakfast surrounded by the German coach party. I wanted to lose the plot with them and as there was classical music playing I wanted to say that great line ' every time I hear Wagner I get the urge to invade Poland'. Sally correctly advised against this as there were a lot of them and only 2 of us.
Luckily the walk was again lovely up and down through woods and farmyards which is like stepping back in time. It's definately like darling buds of may.
We stopped a lot at some good cafes along the route and got to 'Guntina Pension' in Palas de Rei at 4ish. We were expecting the worst and were not disappointed. It was awful with the room having only an internal window and smelt like hell.
We said as much to lady patron who had a moustache like Terry Thomas. In fact she looked like him but sadly did not have his sense of humour. However after much grimacing and sad expressions she produced a better room with views of the street and we said Si!
We have spent the last 3 hours sitting in the sun at a nice restaurant eating some proper sea food and having a good time.
We will be leaving Terry Thomas's establishment early on account of it being horrible and with 30 km to do tomorrow we need to start at 0700 as weather is up to 27c.
Only 66km to go and we are racing to the finish on Saturday and a big blow out!

Gabrielle Let's face it, it wouldn't be a holiday without a few Germans to get grumpy with! Given me the giggles with your Terry Thomas references - got to he a certain age to remember him! The countryside is looking fab. Enjoy. Xx
