After the struggles of yesterday we happily left Mrs Overalls establishment at 0715 not sure how the day would go. We were very tired and expecting a tough walk but it turned out to be quite good helped by cloud cover keeping it cool. Also we had now reached the valleys and the scenery had completely changed but still beautiful lifting the spirits.
We are shortly to leave the Basque region of Navarre and tomorrow will be entering Rioja - which is nice!
One of the delights of our trip is that we keep bumping into people we have met en route which is good fun.
In the hotel we are in there are 3 Aussies who we shared a table with us ages ago and love me reminding them of the recent Ashes results. Also there Brazils answer the cheeky girls who don't stop giggling and we think are a bit crackers.
Off for a Cerveza or two and another 3 course pilgrim special with wine for 10€. You can't say don't spoil the old girl rotten!

Sue Murphy Hi there both, sounds like it is hard work but you are having fun. So glad you are meeting some nice people along the way, hopefully they will provide you with some laughs and plasters to keep you going. Keep blogging!
laurieandsally Sue many thx for your msg and you are right - the walking is very hard but the people you keep bumping into all the time are great. It's really like the United Nations on the camino. Now staying in lovely old Palacio in medieval village of Viana and off now for a massage - so life's pretty good! Much love S and L xx
