Camino Charity Walk
Dragged Sally kicking and screaming away from the Parador in Santo Domingo & set off on what promised to be a hard day.
The route was 23km and mostly alongside a busy road. But the sun was out and the track was smooth so we could set a good pace and had a good day.
Staying in a Casa Rural small hotel in Belorado which is yet another pretty small town and the room is fine.
Just found out the Aussies are staying in the same place so we are going to eat with them tonight. Going to give them some stick tonight as they are getting their luggage transported for them between hotels - always thought they were bloody wimps!
Tomorrow we are climbing up to 3800ft so will need an early start in the morning as the temperature is due to hit 26c.

Mike Check out the amazing cathedral in Burgos xx
laurieandsally Mike thx for Burgos tip. We might have a half day there as it's meant to be special. Also after there we enter the Meseta which is days of flat plains of wheat and nothing else . Might need some divine intervention! L
Mike Yea we drove through that area on way to Portugal when the volcano was erupting. It is fairly featureless landscape but you can see mountains away towards Madrid and storks nesting on the signs over the main roads. Missed you in the boozer last night. Tried I think in vain to explain to Cocker how to follow the blog - you can lead a horse to water........Mike
Gabrielle Hoping that all's well, as no blog entry yesterday. Perhaps you are having a well deserved break? Weather here is truly depressing - black skies, lots of rain and this has been going on since you left UK! Enjoy the blue skies! Xx
