Day 6 on the camino has been our hardest yet. The good news is we have now walked over 100km since we started. Only one blister to report on Sally little toe for which I have carried out a highly technical operation. So far the patient seems happy with the results. Details of the procedure cannot be revealed due to the upset it would cause to those of a squeamish disposition.
Our problems started with a steep climb out of Puente del Raina which was not expected and we struggled all day to find food. The weather was warm and so arrived at Estrella very tired and booked into first hostal we came to. It is run by a 80 year old Mrs Overall and really is a dump.
So just having early meal and wine hoping to become comatose by 9 and crash out. Also no wifi here or as the Spanish call it WIFFY so this was posted a day late on Friday 4th.

Mike Wiffy is the person you are walking with. Sounds like you need a days' rest - keep up the good work and blog. Look fwd to reading it every night xx
laurieandsally WIFFY we both were after yesterday's walk but today went surprisingly well. In Los Arcos tonight in best establishment in the village(50€ 2* hotel) which is actually great. We are planning a couple of easy days to recover a bit but will see how we feel in the morning. L
