Survived our 1st night in an albergue helped on by bottle of Marques de Caceres and the success of the ear plugs. Left 8.15 in fair weather & managed the climb making Ronsonvalles for lunch. Spurred on by a large ciento tres brandy we decided to walk to next next village of Burguete so missing the delights of another albergue with up to 120 pilgrims in one room. Have booked into small hotel with decent room so the right decision. No rain today but cold and windy.

Sis only just seen your last entry as internet playing up. Thank goodness you found a hotel for the night we were all a little concerned about the dorm!!! Sounds as if you are making good progress - we thought about you as we were tucking into lunch and chocolate pudding at Ians yesterday. Weather has improved here today it was truly dreadful yesterday and promises more rain tomorrow so you are missing nothing. Keep well lots of love x
laurieandsally Glad you were having a nice lunch as we eating yet another dry ham and cheese baguette! Poured with rain most of the day but last hour the sun came out and it was hot. Great news there's a hair dryer in a room so all well in camino land.
