Monday 14th left Hontanas at 0700 trying to get to another small village Boadilla del Camino 29km away. We felt ok after the walk yesterday and got to Castrojerez hoping for breakfast but nowhere open as it was another seemingly deserted little town.
We had a big climb back up to the plain and ate some chocolate and nuts to keep us going. Eventually we got some food at 1ish in a great bar and relaxed for an hour as it was very warm.
Decided for the last leg to put on the earphones for the 1st time for a bit of inspiration . It worked a treat & pushed us on the private hostal we had booked the night before.
Fun place crammed with people but if we had not booked a private room we would have been on mattresses on the floor!
Nice surprise when we bumped into Marios a Polish guy we shared a taxi with from Biarritz weeks ago and not seen him since. Fairly boring & uneventful day i'm afraid except we met our first Irishman tonight at dinner who really was called Paddy from Dublin.

Julian Enjoying the daily read of your blog, will you be doing the same this time next year or re-joining us in Denia? The German one missed his room mate
laurieandsally Julian many thx for your msg and for the updates on the tennis trip. I don't think the camino is a annual event so will be up for selection next year. But having been surrounded by Germans for last couple of days I might be up for a new bed fellow. L
