Left early at 0645 to start climbing up to highest point of the Camino at Cruz de Ferro at 5000 ft . Watching the sun come up in these wild surroundings was great and we made it to the top by 9 and like all the pilgrims had our picture taken.
The pile of stones we are standing on are left by every pilgrim in memory of loved ones no longer around. It was quite a special place.
What we forgot is there only one way to go from here and that was a walk down 3000ft was to lovely small town of Molinaseca. Thankfully the views all the way down were stunning so made the last leg easier. The hillside was covered in lavender and we arrived at 4ish to our hotel.
Just had a really good meal and tried to plan tomorrow but we are not sure how far we will feel like walking so will wait and see as there are lots of options.

Nick What on earth are we going to talk about when you have completed your journey? Evening meals, for the past couple of weeks, have always begun "What have Sally & Laurie been up to today?"
Mike I'm wondering what L & S have been talking about all that time together ?
laurieandsally Nick in answer to your question you should be discussing or planning to do some or all of this trip - you would love it.
