Just arrived in Mansilla de Los Mulas which roughly means 'hands on the back of the mules' !
I presume this is still a popular pastime here as it is not a great place and looks like there has been a lot of inter breeding amongst the locals.
Anyway we had another boring flat walk alongside a road which had about 1 car go passed us every 10 minutes. So faced with these sections we put on the iPhones and lose ourselves in some music which really helps pass the time.
The weather was great and I really lost myself for a change in a bit of Pink Floyd. I must say the hot weather, miles upon miles of wheat fields, and 'shine in you crazy diamond' was a winning combination.
We are staying again in a bit of a dump but they do have a good bar a glass of Rioja is 1.30€ a go!
Have booked the Parador in Leon for tomorrow night to make up for the last two dives which will be something to look forward to.

gabrielle Music is such great therapy isnt it and how it can spur you on! Am just in awe of what you two are doing. Every muscle in my body aches in symapthy when I read your daily travails! Jakob and Trudy Hi brave walkers! How far you've walked allready, since we saw you both in Burgos! Leon is but a small step, and still a giant leap! How are your feet and shoulders doing? It has been a pleasure to meet you guys. We have completed or 2012 trip in Carrion an now we are home. From now on we will follow your adventures from here. Good Luck and enjoy Leon. laurieandsally Jakob &Trudy we are so pleased to hear from you and that you got home safely. We loved meeting up with you and pity we did not bump into you again after Burgos. We are staying at the Parador in Leon which is great and we will visit San Isidoro tmrw. We are making a note of the good places we come across and will send them to you in an email when we get home.
