Crew Frivolous
Today we leave Mission Beach to who knows where, may get to Townsville, may not!!
First destination Ingham and then Wallaman Falls (yes, more waterfalls). A bit of a slow climb into the mountains to reach the Wallaman Falls lookout. Massive falls, 268 m high, absolutely amazing. There was a sign that read falls base lookout 1.6 km, we all looked at each other and shook our heads and said let have lunch.
Back down to Lees Hotel (the pub with no beer) Ingham for a beer and decide how far we are to drive. We had heard there is another set of falls south of Ingham that may be interesting. The decision was made after the second beer to head to Paluma National Park to Big Crystal Creek camp area.
With Colin in the lead we headed south and oops he missed the turn off to the falls. We arrived at the camp area and were very pleasantly surprised at amenities and the neatness all for $10 a night and beautiful crystal clear water to swim in.
