Crew Frivolous
11th September
All good things must come to an end, we have to leave 1770.
Bundaberg is our new destination which is not very far away. A quick tour of the shops to pick up a few essentials (yes Dan Murphy's was one of those shops) and then off to Elliot Heads to find a campsite.
By the time we had settled in it was just after lunch so we thought we would try to catch a tour of the Bundy distillery. Had to wait 40 minutes but the tour was excellent with, you guessed it, samples to taste at the end.
After lightening our wallets in the Bundy shop we went to the Coopery to see the coopers make wooden barrels. Joe liked this shop so he bought bits of their offcuts and wood shavings from the floor, the things people spend money on. Back to camp to settle for another night.
12th September
In the morning we explored the beaches in the immediate area, most of which were all rock and no sand. Had morning tea in a lovely town called Bargara, very touristy with lot of holiday units but again not much sand. Onto the Port of Bundaberg and not much to say about that. We were getting tired of driving around and headed back to camp for lunch.
The afternoon Joe and I tried our hands at fishing again, Wendy soaked up the rays on the beach and Jen did what she loves best, blogging.
Well we didn’t have fish that night either.
