25th July
Headed out on the road around 8am after watching a beautiful sunrise.
Travelled on to Coen, Archer River and finished up at Weipa where we booked in to stay for 2 nights.
The roads were long, fairly corrugated and very very dusty. Most of the time we were able to scoot along between 80 - 100km but we caught up with some slower vehicles and got stuck behind them for quite a bit.
We noticed later in the day that Col had a flat tyre and had to go and get it repaired. He wasn't a happy man.
26th July
The guys had planned a go out on a fishing charter but it was way too windy so they decided to keep their money (for now).
We had a bit of a look around at the sights in Weipa in the morning and came back to camp for lunch.
Joe, Marcus and Colin went off this arvo on a guided tour of the Rio Tinto Mine. Ang & I lazed at the pool while Wendy, Jen and Mart relaxed in camp.
We all got together down on the beach tonight and watched the sun go down. It was awesome!! We now know that you don't have to go all the way to WA to watch the sun go down on the water ha ha.
