It was hard to leave our girls this morning but it was time to be on our way to beautiful Bermagui to see Joe's mum. It was great catching up with her and Joe and we talked forever about our wonderful trip. We decided to stay for only one night as I was almost bursting. I needed to get home to see Melissa, Adrian and Shayne. We were also looking forward to seeing my Mum and Dad and the rest of our families and friends.

27th September Awake bright and early again today and I'm feeling a tad excited as we are heading to Sydney to see Kristy and Linda for the weekend. After a walk up to Nelson Head we made our way via the coast to Newcastle. We stopped at Swansea (Lake Macquarie) for lunch and had a quick look at Blacksmith's Beach. It was quite hot when we got up this morning and was forcast to be 35 degrees. We went for a drive around the area stopping at Bagnalls Beach at Corlette, Salamander Bay and Soldier's Point then headed back to camp for lunch. We had planned on a lazy arvo on the beach but the wind was so ridiculously strong we stayed in the van for most of the arvo and watched dvds on the laptop. We went down to the beach to catch the sunset but didn't hang around too long...

We went for a walk this morning and saw the huge fig trees that line the main street in Sawtell then we wandered over to the surf beach for a look. We left Sawtell and made our way to Port Stephens and booked into Halifax Holiday Park at Nelson Bay for a couple of nights. After setting up we went to have a look at Little Beach at the front of the park and also at Shoal Bay at the back of the park. They are both lovely beaches.

*** HAPPY 25TH ANNIVERSARY to Wendy and Col *** On our way out of town this morning we stopped at the Pat Moreton Lookout and continued on to Ballina. We stopped at Shaw's Bay for a walk and to take some more pics. Drove through Grafton and on to Coffs Harbour which was also very busy.
